Very good condition mid 18th Century Scottish Highland Officer's Basket Hilted Broadword.

This authentic and very well made Highland officer's traditional forge welded basket hilted broadsword dates from around 1740, around the time of the Battle of Culloden and may well have been carried in battle there. The blade is 83.5 cm long and very firm in the hilt. The grip with some very fine "Turk's Head" ferrules is in very good condition.
