Good condition William 4th (1830 to 1837) British Infantry Officer's
Sword with some etching remaining.


William Forth pipe backed version of the 1822 pattern infantry
sword in generally good condition, working folding guard, worn (texturally)
but complete fishskin grip with twisted wire bindings firm and intact,
plus brass field officer's scabbard intact, albeit dented in places.
The 81.5 cm blade has the original etching still visible, including
maker's name "Moore late Bucknells & Moore 1 Old Bond St
London" on the ricasso. Further pictures available upon request.
