1827 Pattern Naval Officer’s Sword,
Scabbard and All Weather Bag (Sold) |
An 1827 pattern British naval officer's sword, scabbard and all
weather bag (circa 1905); original owner named.

Very good condition example of a JR Gaunt made 1827 pattern British
Royal Navy Officer's sword; the maker's badge citing "late
Edward Thurkle" plus "London and Birmingham" likely
dates this sword to 1900-1905. The Tudor crown to the hilt means
this is post-Victorian, namely Edward 7th. Complete with scabbard,
sword knot and all weather bag (stiching loose) with original owner
W Rich's name upon it. The 79 cm blade is firm in the hilt and the
folding guard working / intact. Further pictures available upon
request.
