Good condition Wilkinson made British infantry sword for an NCO
or Staff Sergeant, dated April 1901.


Much rarer than officer's swords are these 1897P British infantry
swords for the NCO / Sergeant. Slightly less ornate hilts and plain
blades, these swords were bought by the British army to issue to
senior enlisted ranks. This one was made by Wilkinson in London
and dates to April 1901. 32 1/2 inch blade well marked with inspection,
etc. stamps and firm in the hilt. Hilt in good order. Fishskin a
little worn. Twisted wire grip bindings are good. In good general
order, the scabbard less so. Further pictures available upon request.
