Edward 7th 1827P Scottish Rifle Regiment
Officer's Sword (sold) |
In very good condition, a Scottish rifle regiment officer's sword
with scabbard and frog / frog belts.

Marked to Leckie Graham & Co 89 Renfield St. Glasgow on the
ricasso, this rifle regiment officer's sword is in very good condition
generally for its age and in comparison with other swords 100 years
old or more.

Nicely etched 32 1/2 inch blade with Edward 7th's Royal Cypher,
there are a couple of small bands of patina just below the etching
but not so bad, and the blade is firm in the hilt. The steel hilt
a little oxidized (frosted) but would probably brighten up and is
in overall very good order. Fishskin grip a little faded in places,
but very good and sound along with the twisted wire bindings. Nice
scabbard in nice condition and with frog / suspension belts. Full
sized / additional photos available upon request. Please quote item
reference number 798 (333).
