1821 Pattern Post 1902 British Royal Artillery
Officer's Sword (sold) |
In overall very good condition, an Edward 7th or possibly George
5th British Royal Artillery officer's sword.

Marked to retailer Forster & Son, 16 Grafton Street, W (West
London), this very impressive 35 1/4 inch blades Royal Artillery
officer's sword was made during the reign of King Edward 7th / George
5th.

The blade is well etched and in very good condition except for
a couple of light rust patches on one side. Blade firm in the hilt.
The plated 3 bar hilt with some corrosion spots. The fishskin grip
in good order. The twisted grip wire bindings are present but one
of the smaller strands has come a little loose a couple of turns.
The sword sheathes well in its good condition leather field scabbard.
A well above average example and a good investment at £250.
