1897 Pattern George V British Infantry Officer's
Sword for sale |
In excellent condition, a George 5th British infantry officer's
sword by Flights Ltd.

It is rare to find George V swords like this in such good condition;
it is virtually in parade ground condition. Etched to Flights Ltd.
of London, Aldershot and Camberley, Flights were sword cutlers who
were known to use Wilkinson sword blades.

The 32 inch blade is well etched, has very few blemishes and is
firm in the hilt. The nickel plated hilt is virtually flawless.
The faux fishskin grip is in very good condition, as are the twisted
grip wire bindings. There is a little rust to the grip ferule, but
not really noticeable. The sword sheathes and draws well into and
out of its leather field scabbard, which is in very good order except
for scuffs around the chape / drag area. A well, well above above
George 5th sword. Well worth £450. Further / full sized images
upon request. My item reference number is 879 - Box 387-1m
