17C / 18C Maratha Khanda Hilted Sura or Surai Sabre for sale

A rare Sura or possible Surai Sabre, khanda hilted, of the Maratha, India, probably late 17C

A multi-fullered either Sura or Surai sword. In aged condition, the 30 1/2 inch blade with plenty of patina over light to medium pitting, though firm in the hilt. The hilt good except for the tapering hilt rod which is poor at the end and part broken nearly half way up. This sword looks like it has been through the wars but is basically very sound.
