WW2 era Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife 3rd
Patt, Antler Horn Grip for sale. |
A late WW2 era exceptionally rare and unusual antler horn gripped
F-S fighting knife.

I am sure this is a late WW2, possibly Korean War knife because
of the sheath and the fact the wings were removed / omitted for
active service. I suspect this was a private purchase by either
a Canadian or American officer or indeed non-commissioned soldier,
due to their appreciation of antler horn grips and more flexibility
over their personal equipment.
The 6 1/2 inch blade is still sharp and in good order. The brass
cross section is a little battered as you might and should expect.
The antler horn grip is in good condition. The leather sheath is
aged and tired, but sound, the elastic snapped. Brass pommel cap
in tight and sound order. A very rare and unusual version of the
F-S fighting knife, yours for only £300. Full sized photos
available upon request. My item reference number is 925 - Box TBA.
