English 1751 Pattern Infantry Hanger Sword
(Sold) |
Good condition American Revolutionary War (Americian War of Independence)
era English infantry soldier's hanger (sword).

An increasingly rare infantry soldier's sword from the time of
the American War of Independence / American Revolutionary War. The
24.5 inch blade is deeply patinated but in good order with the Georgian
crown and acceptance mark (Crown over 3 indicating the sword was
made by Wooley of Birmingham around 1779). Fairly firm, hilt some
movement; overall very good order.
