19C Silvered Syrian Shamshir Sword Wootz Blade (Sold)

A worn condition 19th Century silvered Syrian Shamshir sword with silver mounted scabbard.

The wootz blade has been polished so much the tell-tale patterning is barely viable, howver the famous maker marks remain clear with traces of gold remaining. The sword's grip is worn with age, the scabbard with silver mounts is in remarkably good condition considering.
