US Civil War Union Cavalry Trooper's Sword / Sabre for sale

A Model 1860 US cavalry sword / sabre made by C Roby of Chelmsford Massachusetts in 1864 for the Union Army during the American Civil War.

I guarantee this to be an authentic Model 1860 US Cavalry Sabre; be warned, most you see for sale are reproductions; this is 100% genuine. Made by Roby of West Chelmsford Massachusetts in 1864, obviously at that time for the Union Army.

The 35 inch blade is well blackened / patinated though could be cleaned / polished up. Bearing the well known Roby inspection stamp "AGM" under "1864" and "US". Blade is firm in the hilt. Original leather grip complete with twisted wire bindings. I would accept £250 for this sabre. Item reference 279. Further / full sized images available upon request.
