Mole WW1 1908 Pattern British Cavalry Trooper’s
Sword (sold) |
Overall very good condition 1908 pattern British cavalry trooper's
sabre / sword made by famous maker Robert Mole in 1915.

This is a good if not very good condition 1908 P cavalry trooper's
sword by the famous maker Robert Mole of Birmingham. Most sabres
were made by the government owned EFD (Enfield) works, so Mole swords
are considered more exclusive.

Made in April 1915 during World War 1, the hilt and scabbard having
been blackened for field service use. The blackening around the
scabbard throat may well be obscuring regimental and trooper markings;
the trouble is, if you remove the blackening (British army paint)
the scabbard would no longer look as good. Everything is firm and
how it should be. Further pictures available upon request. Ref:
