WW2 / George 6th Royal Corps of Signals Officer's
Sword (sold) |
In very good condition, a rare Royal Corps of Signals Officer's
sword, scabbard and all weather bag (as found).

In overall very good condition; a few patina marks to the blade,
but good overall. This 1897 Pattern British infantry officer's sword
is marked / etched with the badge of the Royal Corps of Signals
to the blade.

Retailed by J G Plumb of 117 Victoria Street, Westminster, London
who was the tailor by appointment to the Royal Military Academy
in Woolwich; their name is marked to the blade's ricasso / forte.

The blade is firm in the grip, the fishskin and wire bindings are
all good too. The sword sheathes well into the leather field scabbard
which is in very good condition. The black all weather cover with
"roeskin" interior is tatty but nice to have. Further
/ full sized photos available upon request.
